Kristi is almost done!!!!

I am so excited for Kristi. She has worked so hard these past few months, not to mention years getting her education and graduating from LDS Business College...

well, it's almost to an end. She graduates on April 9th 2009! She is really working hard right now doing her full time job, internship and classes...she starts at about 8:30am and works until 9pm almost everyday. Way to go Kristi.

Another thing that she is doing and really good at is flower arranging and interior design. USANA has had her create flower arrangements for different displays they have. I only have a picture of one right now, but I will post more when I get the pictures from her. They are really good and she really enjoys anything like that....

Kristi will also be moving on with her life to Logan in August. Kristi is excited for this next phase in her life...roomies!! She actually has hand picked roommates that are going to be great to live with. Everybody has their own room AND their own bathroom!!! Amazing hugh!! It will be a fun and well deserved time for her....have a blast Kristi....luv ya tons!

The end to 5 years on drill.......

It was an all around great night in Ephraim...first, the drive down was really nice...just a little flurry's through the pass, but really nice. We then went to Kati Jo's apt with everyone for a few ... hustle and bustle of girls getting ready...funny! I took some pictures and they were awful..I tried to video, but my card ran out...so I will get some from Ben, he was smart and brought his laptop and emptied his card in between dances..oh well, here are a few pic's anyway..good or bad...it was a really good night.

...two of Kati Jo's favorite men....

...handing out flowers to the girls...Kati Jo Vice President and Morgan Nye President..

....Strike a pose.....

..explaination...this was the partner dance..old hip hop...Kati's partner didn't show up (what a jerk) but she handled it with grace..LOL..she decided to do the boys part with them, everybody loved it, especially the boys because they could watch her and follow better (she taught them the dance anyway)...it was great...she was adorable with her expressions and the crowd loved her....

...of course, there were many many more dances, these were highlights...these next few are their finale...their coach has been with the badgeretts for 24yrs and this is her last year...sooo, she wanted to go out with a bang...she did a number with her friends which was a lip sink and hillarious...the girls modeled all the old costumes from the past 24yrs...this is Kati Jo in her "bubble gum" (as she calls it) costume from several years ago...she said it reminded her of when she was on the Tiny Tazz team..similar costume...costumes have really changed throughout, and in a good way for sure!!!

Well, great ending to a successful 2 years at Snow College....graduation for Kati Jo is in May.....You Go Girl....Don't EVER forget to Dance darlin...luv ya

They have a great dance dept and she is excited to get a teaching certificate and teach in schools....Kati will always dance, it has been a love of hers since she was 3yrs old....

Something new to keep me busy.....

A friend of mine, Connie Perkins, is teaching me how to make jewelry. I am really enjoying it. We are just casually taking a class from her here and there learning different techniques etc....here are the first of my accomplishments.....not the best pictures, and as I get going I'm sure my jewelry will get a lot better...it's actually fun designing them as well as making them......what do you think?

This is a necklace, bracelet and earrings I made for Kati Jo....I actually made the bracelets, 18 of them, for her to give to her drill team this thursday at their final dance bonanza...it's their final recital. They will be performing all their dances throughout this past year..Kati was the Vice President and wanted to give all her girls a gift..it's been a great year, a lot of struggles from administration directed towards their adviser, but the girls have done a fabulous job and it's now time to move on....

These are some earrings I just played around making...

This is going to be a fun thing for me to do...of course, I plan on getting better at making the jewelry...it's really relaxing and like I said, I am really enjoying the designing part of making it.......I am also going to start making some children's clothing...mostly for my grandson and nieces and nephews...I am involved right now with costumes for our Stake play Beauty and the Beast, as soon as I am done with that I am going to start with my own sewing...love to sew and as long as I am not working I need something to keep my hands busy.....

Carpet or NO carpet......that is the question?

Well.....debate amongst the Schroeder clan....should we replace our carpet with wood floors or not. I am for wood floors...Gary hates wood floors because they "aren't homey enough" Well...compromise here...we will get carpet one more time...the next time we do anything to the floors it will be hardwood! I can go for that especially since he really never voices much concerning how we furnish this house. I can go with the big 'NADA' this time....but look out future...hardwood here we come!! We picked a burbur so it won't be much work...I always love the smell of new carpet after it is installed...hmmmmmmmmmmmm so good, and everything feels clean and new.

We took Kati to see Grandma Schroeder........

Grandma was doing good....Kati fell in love with her wheelchair and tooled around all over.....two of Grandma's favorite things are apples and Diet Coke....well, if you look close you will see her eating her apple.(we brought her several)
Gary had to actually take the core away..she was eating it too.....

.....then, here she is drinking her diet Coke....it is so funny how she gets so excited for both of these 'nourishing' items...she was really cute today...happy and funny...that's what we like to see!!

More adventures with Maximus Gary Breon Jacobs....aka: Max

We are having such a good time with our Max...yes, he has been spoiled rotten, only a few times in 'Time Out' which, I'm sure, is a lot less than he gets on a usual day with mom and dad ...of course, he can do no wrong here hahahahahaha.....

This is 'quiet time'...he is watching the old Disney's Peter Pan and loving it...

.......he is building a better relationship with Mockey...they have had a sort of 'tolerate each other' type of relationship..but all of a sudden, Max wants to be 'Friends' with Mockey and Mockey is actually ok with that and it's kind of fun to watch.
I do have to keep him from piling the pillows on top of Mockey.. he doesn't understand that Mockey doesn't need 5 pillows piled on top and then a little 3 year old jumping on top of the pile....there was a day Mockey could hold his own, but since he is older he needs a little 'protection' from a 3yr old little boy named Max.....just a thing I do as Grandma Lu

All in the life of the Crazy Schroeder's ...... and it's so much fun!!!

Crazy Kati Jo lost her Wisdom Teeth..........

Today is Kati Jo's big day!! She is home on spring break, so she decided that it would be a good time to have her wisdom teeth extracted....sooooooo she scheduled this the very day.....but.......

We got to the dentist office, they took Kati Jo back....then they decided that the dentist that is replacing the one that was supposed to extract Kati's wisdom teeth doesn't quite know how......LOL...is this a joke? They called us to confirm the appointment on Friday, hummmmmmmm I'm pretty sure they knew at that time that this dentist was not qualified to do an extraction...after they got Kati Jo back in the chair they told her that she would probably have to reschedule----what? reschedule? I don't think so....actually, the receptionist that came and talked to me didn't even bring up rescheduling, she told me that the REAL dentist is coming in at 9:30 and that he could do the extraction...just a small little change in our schedule...9:00 to 9:30, that's do-able for us.....soooooo it's your day Kati Jo.....get ready, get set..PULL!!!!

....don't look so surprised!!! Have a happy spring break darlin!!!

She did good, actually she did really good....she is free of wisdom teeth and doing exceptionally well!!! Good going Kati Jo.................it will be a great spring break!!!!

Fun Saturday!!!

First off, it was fun to have a house full of everyone we love...isn't it a good thing when everybody is home and safe and funny and goofy and serious and just together....That was the Schroeder house this weekend....here are a few pictures of our day...starting with Max...he has a new found love for Grandma Lu's camera, and he's not too shabby either...these are his pictures of today....

Little bit of sunlight behind Kati Jo & Ben...............

Kind of cut off Kati Jo's head...oh well..He loves to be the photographer..

Sorry Staci, you and I weren't in the pictures....we need to teach him to hold the camera still so he doesn't cut off our heads...LOL! He was having too much fun!

These are some of Max's master pieces... Blue Bear and movie 'Cars'...

Socks and Peter Rabbit book................

Then............we got some pictures of Trevor and Max reading Peter Rabbit...the expression on Max's face was priceless...it was during the time when Peter was almost caught by the farmer......he was really worried.....

What a great day...Thanks Family!!
